Default Pro-Torque 9.5" 3200 Lock Up converter?

Hi Jack,
I have an opportunity to purchase what is described as a "Pro Torque 9.5" 3200 Lock Up converter - FROM COTTON'S" for a very reasonable price. Claimed 2000 miles, and removed because it wasn't enough for his goals (lo 10's).
Question #1: Is there such an animal, and did/have you sold such?
Question #2: How much would this benefit my very stock-ish configuration '86 TR?

My mods are simple... hotwired ATR Superpump (walbro), adj. FPR and wastegate, K&N, RJC PP, 3" THDP, testpipe, 2.5" Hooker catback, Thrasher 93 chip.... stock turbo, I/C, injectors, heads, bottom end, etc... fresh bone stock BRF trans (from a crate - NOS) w/ stock converter, tuned/monitored with DirectScan. I plan to purchase 60's and TT chip soon. I will probably stick with my stock turbo for the near-term future, and even if/when I do upgrade the turbo, probably will never get bigger than say... 6152 BB + alky, or modern equivalent...

Car is 100% street driven/cruiser, not really concerned about 60 ft. times, but want a stout 20-30 mph roll hit I'm wondering if a convertor like this may be a bigger benefit for a configuration like mine than anything.... but, I want it to still cruise around real stock-like also.... I sometimes drive 75-100 miles/nite. Appreciate your opinion, and just don't want TOO much convertor to make it less comfortable on the streets/highways... thoughts????
Thanks!!

DAmn, missed another one.. it may be a little much for a stock cruiser, turbo... JH has an awsome combo, his is working as it should. Also, I think we spoke on the phone about this a few days ago... My memory sucks, I remember talking to someone about this same scenario...

Thanks for the replies, guys. I passed on it, but forwarded this thread to a fellow board member who jumped on it post-haste... ($150 shipped). So, maybe something on the order of, say, a 2800 lock up, would suit me better?

i'm running the 10.5 protorque lockup 28-3200 in the 87 and like it alot (paid about 800 for it new 5 years ago).
spools great (maybe too fast ) and room to go bigger on the turbo later
i had an unopened 87 motor with a 3" downpipe , testpipe , duttneck , stock turbo , 50# injectors ,mickey radials tt chip and alky on 93 pump gas
you need the trans to be up to the abuse as well as the rear and i had that taken care of
hits hard off line best of 1.57 leaving at about 3psi (did i say it spools fast on a stock turbo) , 12.003 110. 24psi

you say not concerned about strip
it drives great on the street, its not like stock (i can rember driving the day it replaced my stock D5 12" (not restalled) , you know its not stock but its not bad either . rolling spoolup to max boost (for me thats low-mid 20s) is instant (more so than from a dead stop) , i can light the tires at will so be sure you have a good set of street tires , having lockup gives you back the same low rpm highway cruising you have now which i use a lot going cross states for our club meets , and with a turbo step up to a ta49 /te44 with the 82 a/r exhaust housing spoolup is still instant,
you mentioned a bigger turbo in the future i tried a 6156 and the 2800 was little too low for that , some would be ok with it but im spoiled , at the track the 2800 isnbt a problem because you can build at the line but the street is different and lag makes you first looser , but lag it is good for traction control

with that turbo you want the 9.5 3200 lockup would have been a great matchup on the street or the strip

btw whos this Jhuber (aka JH ) guy LOL
