It's what makes New England special!!
What was supposed to be light snow followed by rain, turned into a big storm, followed my deafening thunder and lightning, and rain. Now today, what is left on the streets and driveways will all melt away, and we'll start all over again next week.
Thank God, I have got my plow.
An hour driving to get it. An hour and a half standing outside waiting for them to load it up, an hour to drive home, and 7 hours to install, followed by two and a half hours plowing.
Ah, I love New England!!

Who the heck is Felix, and why do you keep calling Jack herman?

You forgot, Prospero Aņo Nuevo.

See ya next racing season, or at Jack's "After the Holidays" party.

11.2 on the big giant slicks. What's the point? Maybe I'll go back to the whitewalls. They are lighter and have less rolling resistance.

Yeah, I bought a new plow....yesterday. They were booked more than two weeks out for installs, so I just picked it up. It took an hour to drive there because of the snow, an hour and a half to wait for them to get the 3 fork trucks unstuck from the snow, and load up my truck, then another hour to drive home. Then, 7 hours to install!!! HOLY CRAP! Then I went out and plowed for a couple of hours. And it only cost $3600. OH CRAP! (again)
The new plow works great, I just need one hand for the wheel, one for the shifter, and one for the plow control....oh wait, that's three hands. Oh man, did that clutch stink after the first two driveways.
I figured out how to do it without smoking the clutch, it just took a little while to work on my technique.
I'm going to work on a mount to attach the controller to the stick shift.
Aside from operator error, the truck did pretty good.

Edit: Oh yeah, it was a Fisher HT 7'6" Minute Mount II. It is supposed to take less than a minute to attach. Well, it took me more than 20 minutes with Arlene helping, and a floor jack. I think it was just because it was disconnected and the height was wrong. Now that it is on, it should come off and go back on real easy. But I haven't had the time to take it off. I'll play with it this weekend, and practice.

The height difference will always f with you....i find after several failed attempts over the years, if you find a nice flat spot to put it, make sure you put it there every time, then take two pieces of painters tape and put them on the hood to guide you into the plow without stopping getting out and repositioning...

Thanks for the good advice. I haven't taken it off yet. I'll do that tomorrow in the daylight when I have an hour or so. Then I am going to try it a few times to make sure that I can do it blindfolded. Gotta go......

They're not too bad. My son leaves his on the driveway and is pretty good at getting it close the first time. Once you get the first pin in, just get out and put a little muscle to the other one if you don't get them both in. BTW, I'm adding a 66BB turbo over the winter. Let's RACE!!!

A 66? That's my favorite turbo. I haven't tried alot, but that one is the best of the ones I have tried. I still have my 66, but it is going on a different motor for the next season. Right Jack?
As for the plow. I took it off and it seemed pretty easy. I came back and lined it up perfect first shot. It wouldn't go on. I needed a little more muscle than I had to engage it. I tried a few different ways, and nothing. I have the HT model. I had to hook up the electrics, and put it in float mode. Then it went right in. Too bad the instructions tell you to hook up the electrics last. I'll have to practice more, just to be sure I can do it.
