Question about Poly Motor mounts
Is it possible to replace both motor mounts on a GN while the engine is still in the car? If it's so, how tough is it? I have the turbo & downpipe out of the GN now so I figured now is the time to do it.
My car was running mid / upper 11's w/stock mtr mounts last summer w/ no problems. I'm hoping to be running low 11's to high 10's this year (now I have a tranny with a brake & 3300rpm stall + bigger turbo & injectors )so which mounts would be a good choice for a street car that sees the track on occasion? (6 -10 times ish per year) Thanks again, Ken F.

You should be able to do them with the engine in the car. You will probably want to remove the headers in order to get at them. I've done driver's side without removing the header, but can't remember if I had to attack from below.
Definately get rid of the stockers. When I was running 12s, I tore up a couple. I even broke a welded one. (Probably not welded up good enough) Now I am running the poly driver's side, and haven't broken it yet. I used to look at it at the beginning of the season, and it was always broken. Not sure how long it took, but don't think the last few lasted more than a season. Just so you know, I beat the crap out of my stuff, so you might get them to last longer, but I couldn't. P.S. You should be able to get away with just the driver's side.

I replaced both of mine with the motor in the car. Nothing was removed----just accessed the bolts from underneath the car. Real simple Go with the set of HR&Parts.

I replaced my d/s in the car with the HR mount also. I still have to replace the passanger side one tho. I definelty would go with theirs, quality products. It was relatively easy to do.
