Temperature problem, Help please
Hi Jack, I have a 87 GN and on 85 degrees and up days it is running about 206 degrees without A/C. It had a 185 degree themostat in it. I just bought a 160 themostat from you and i have installed dual electric fans and it is still getting up to 200 degrees but now it only go's that high on the highway. Street driving it will go to 185 to 190 degrees. Any idea on what i can do to get it cooler.What should these cars run at with a grill mount intercooller.
PS. It don't overheat or boil. It's just the scanmaster and gauge is showing high temp readings My name is Eric and i hope to hear from you. Thanks..

Brian Keep it shiny side up, but show them your dirty side once in a while. 11.3@123mph on 195/75/14" whitewalls. Yes, 195s! 11.2 on the big giant slicks. What's the point? Maybe I'll go back to the whitewalls. They are lighter and have less rolling resistance.

Hi, Not sure on how old the radiator is. It was in the car when i bought it and i only owned the 6 or 7 months. Do you think that can be the problem.

It sure could. Take off the cap and look into the tank. See if the tubes look plugged up at all. Start the car and let it get up to temperature, and see if the coolant is flowing through the tubes good enough, or if it just trickles out.
Disclaimer: Caution radiator cap can be hot. Only open when cold. Contents under pressure. Don't try this at home. Don't put your finger in a vise, etc etc.
