Default Window tinting the easy way.

Hey! Do any of you know what I do with the waGoN on Halloween? Well, I think that I have told a few of you, but for those of you that don't know, here is what I do:
It all started when I had the car painted. I brought it home, and Arlene asked her son how it looked. He said it looked like a hearse. Well, I can take a hint, so from then on every Halloween, the car has been dressed like a hearse. I built a life(or death) size coffin, and lean it on the tailgate. I dress the car up with lace curtains, and put it on the front lawn. Well, every year, Arlene and I add to the set up. I have a speaker and a ghoul in the coffin, and a remotely controlled air piston opens the coffin when kids go by. I also put a black light in the back of the car, and have a fog machine in the car blowing fog out into the yard. It really looks cool.
OK, here comes the window tinting tip. The night before Halloween, my brother and sister and law were going to be in the area, and wanted to show it to my niece. I got the setup ready, but things didn't work out, and they didn't have time to stop by. Well, Arlene called me the next morning at work and asked if I left something on because it looked like steam was coming out of the car. I told her to just shut off the switch, and don't worry about it.
When I got home, the car didn't look right. It looked like I had put limo tint on all of the glass. I opened the hatch glass, and to my surprise, the fog machine had caught fire, and melted down to nothing but a pile of burned plastic. My plastic headliner was hanging down, and the rear interior light looked liked melted taffee. All of the glass was black on the inside from the fire.
So, if you want cheap limo tint, all you have to do is turn on a fog machine in the back, and leave it there. The tricky part is finding a defective one.
I guess I am going to be a little busier than I thought this Winter. As soon as I get a chance, I'll post the pictures. Ffor now, I just have to get some stuff cleaned up and get it off of the front lawn. I guess it is going to spend the Winter in the garage instead of the trailer resting.

11.2 on the big giant slicks. What's the point? Maybe I'll go back to the whitewalls. They are lighter and have less rolling resistance.

Brian, it seems like if it were not for bad luck you would have no luck lately... First the motor and trans and now this! Well I guess it could have been worse. I am sorry to hear it though. I guess this gives you an excuse to do the interior over now!

Gee if I thought like that, I would definately lose my mind. You are looking at it the wrong way. I have good luck. Yeah, the car caught fire, but I could jump in it and drive it right now. Well, I'd have to clean the black off of the windows, and my clothes would get filthy, but aside from a little piece of melted carpet, the small headliner in the back being melted, and the melted interior light in the back, the car is just dirty inside. It needed a good cleaning anyways, and I the carpet in the back was fraying a little at the edges anyways, so I was planning on replacing that. And, the front headliner was coming down, so I was going to replace that too. I've always wanted darker interior, so I guess I got it.
I still have the car, and didn't lose it to fire. It was also parked close to the house and under a tree. It could have really been bad.
My wife keeps saying that she is sorry if she had only looked at it, maybe she could have caught it and minimized the damage.
I keep telling her that if she had seen that it was actually burning, then she would have either called the fire dept, in which case, they would have come and smashed a window that I probably can't replace, and would have flooded the car with water. Or, if she had tried to fight it herself, would have opened the hatch glass, letting all of the air that it needed in, and caused the fire to be much worse, and possibly gotten hurt in the process. Everything turned out just fine as far as I am concerned.

Yeah, positively screwed up, but it's the only attitude that I have. Well, besides the other one that always gets me in trouble.
Where the hell is the evil smiley?

Thanks, but even if it was a total loss, I have a Malibu wagon in the garage that I have been waiting to Frankenstein. It would have just forced me to do it sooner. I always have a plan 'B', and sometimes a 'C' and a 'D'.
