Default Hey Jack, what type of oil???

What type of oil do you recommend in your engines? I'm running valvoline 10w40 with one bottle of zddp.

Thanks,
Walter Boss

That sounds fine Walter. 10w-40 is what we usually use.

Sweet. Just checking since I've heard guys talk about mulit-viscosity oil are bad specifically the 10W40. It leaves too much “gunk” behind in the engine. I thought that was a thing from the past...back from the 80s?

Unlike the "guys" I'm no engineer..... but my experience tells me to change my oil every 1000 - 1500 miles and my motor is as clean as the days it was built. That has been the case for the last 15-17 years...
