Default valvetrain

hey Jack,

was talking with my cousin regarding valvetrain noise. would the stud mounted rockers on the aluminum heads make a quieter valvetrain than the shaft mounted on the irons? or is the noise from the roller cam and lifters? also are there any casting issues, such as cracking in certain areas, with the aluminum heads from champion?

thanks Greg

it's all a crapshoot, if everything is correct, pushrod length and adjustment, noise is minimal. As for cracking, absolutely not an issue. I cringe when I read some of the BS out there. Not saying there aren't situations where cracking has occurred but for the most part, they are the best available and Champion is continually improving the casting, they are the best there is today.. I have no reservations using them.
