Default 87BRF tranny

Pulled the converter shield on my newly acquired gn and found a 6B stamped between the impeller dimples all the way around.Any ideas what this converter might be?

Sounds like a stock replacement converter. Do you know if the trans has been rrworked at all?

Default brf tranny

Looks like it. Trans pan is painted and has a new flexplate. Car shifts very hard and doesn't appear to have any problems.
