Default Purpose of EGR block off.

Hi Jack, What is the purpose of blocking off the EGR valve with one of your block off pieces? I know this wouldnt be street legal, but my GN is my summer cruiser that sees the track a handfull times a season. What are the advantages & disadvantages? Just ordered your poly mtr mounts today. Thanks! Ken, Lancaster NY (Buffalo)

I wouldn't bother then. It improves your mileage, and it also improves your idle I believe. I kept mine until I went to the aftermarket computer (FAST), and I probably have just as many miles on it going down the quarter as I do driving to work for the last couple/few years.

11.3@123mph on 195/75/14" whitewalls. Yes, 195s!
11.2 on the big giant slicks. What's the point? Maybe I'll go back to the whitewalls. They are lighter and have less rolling resistance.
