QA1 Shock Settings for 1/4 mile?
what settings do I use on my single adjustable QA1 shocks for the quarter mile?
I know the fronts need to be loose so 2 or 3 clicks from all the way in? Rears should be firm so 9 or 10 clicks (out if 12 possible) from all the way out? Anyone tried this or what? Conrad |

Not at all Conrad, they are a bit tougher to play with. I have the single adjustable in the back on mine. Very simple to adjust. Just using the shocks for adjustment is only a piece of the puzzle. You will still need to check your pinion angle, and a good set of tires to hook with. Setting up a suspension to hook at the track is like tuning a FAST.... it takes time, testing and lots of runs. I suggest you crawl under your rear end and check your pinion angle, I like to see somewhere between -3* and -4*, thats a good starting point to pretty much guarantee a good hook. But..... thats providing you have some good tires, with the proper air pressure. I like to start somewhere between 11 and 14lbs, depending on what kind of tire, some tires like a good burnout, some don't..... sounds easy,Huh......
hope that helps,
