Default Turbo Riv

hey Jack...

Does this car look familiar?

...Jack was kind enough to work a deal out with me on this 85 T-Type riv he had laying around
So far the only thing the car has recieved was a 255 walbro to replace the dead stocker to get her running.

I plan on bringing this rare beauty back to life...and maybe with the addition of a few go-fast parts.

Here is a pics of the new seats that will be going in

car will be a sleaper to say the least.

now if i can only get it out of Jacks yard....

Cool ride! I looked at it when I dropped my car off, although it was a while ago, we looked at everything in the yard! (Snoring) as it's a cool sleeper!

Last time I did that, I bought a GN. Be careful!

11.3@123mph on 195/75/14" whitewalls. Yes, 195s!
11.2 on the big giant slicks. What's the point? Maybe I'll go back to the whitewalls. They are lighter and have less rolling resistance.

Time for an update yet?

Well I just moved into my first house yesterday and my girl and kid were gone for the day so I had the opportunity to play around with the Riv for a while.

Last week I had pulled the Trans and dropped it off to Best Transmission for the rebuild. Shawn called me last night and told me that EVRY clutch pack was fried and the car needed one gear ...but that was pretty much expected.

With the trans out, I decided to pull the motor since it was leaking from EVRYWHERE and begin disassembly, cleaning, repair and reasemble. Anyways, here are a few pics of the progress made so far:

Good luck at the new place. Very nice pics of the tear down. I like the coal burner too!

All I can think about is how good that motor ran, like a swiss clock..... as I look at it apart, I like it. I was like WTF when B told me he was tearing it down.... now that I look at it.... hmmmmm..... KEWL... let's build this MFKer.... clean it up under the hood, get rid of the un-needed excess components.... 86-87 that top end and lets get fabbing....

hmmmmm time to get rocking on the Olds..... me thinks....
