Question Running with the cutout open

Does it make a noteable difference to run with the cutout open?
Also, so aftermarket converters get much over on the stock D-5 if you are staying in the mid to low 11's?
Thanks again

Dan, You will notice a gain w/ an open cut out IF your exhaust is restrictive. If this is the case, you will see an increase in boost uncapped, which will net you more power provided the fuel in there. Some guys will lower the boost if running uncapped, to keep their tune in check. The only reason I used to run uncapped was to here my motor, being how there are so many open header cars next to you in the staging lanes.

As for converters, and if it were my car, I would go to a non lock up 10".

I'm sure Jack can expand on what I mentioned.

Ya.... what he said...... thanks Brian. As for the convertor, I do like upgraded convertors, depending on the combo we have several cchoices we like.
