How to Raise Shift Point?
Tranny is shifting at around 5,000 rpm. This is too low with engine build (Champion iron, 212/212 roller, etc.). I don't want to shift manually since the stock shifter does not inspire confidence. How do I raise the shift points?

You need to grind some mass off of the secondary goveror weight.

Ok. Does anyone have a picture of a stock weight and a 5,500 and/or 6,000 rpm weight? I have no idea how much metal to remove and where to remove it. Since I will have to drain/drop tranny pan, I would rather not do this multiple times. Does anyone sell a lightened weight? Help!

Thanks John for the tip, Conrad, I moved the thread to the tranny section...
I have heard of modding the governor, but I also was told you need to be careful as too much will mess with your normal upshifts under light accelleration. I think before tackling the mod, an extra stock governor would be a good idea.
