Have Brian build you a 4" if you are going to have the car there. This is the one I did last year. Looks real sweet, and sounds awsome.

That exhaust does look beautiful! I talked with Jack about the down pipe a while back, I wanted a full 4 inch down pipe. He said it was better if it was 4 inch down to a 3.5 inch. That's the reason I said 3.5 single exhaust. I trying to remember the exact reason why it would be better but my memory is shot from being up all night with the kids! I know it made sense to me then though.

Well, it isn't that cold in the garage, so I will be crawling under the waGoN momentarily to yank out the busted tranny and put in the "spare".
Jack, have you had a chance to check on those billet parts? I may be headed out there next week with the tranny, and maybe a motor(not sure on that). I'm a little behind in my progress, but I still plan on having this beast running before the tracks around here open. Anyone else taking advantage of this warm weather and working on their Buicks? As for those of you in the warmer climates: No gloating or we'll send some more of this cold weather your way, like we did to Miami a week or so ago. We can do it, and we'll prove it.........again.

OK, I'll do that. I almost got the tranny in. Well, it's actually in, but I have to finish hooking everything up. Ya know it's a BIG GIANT PITA doing a tranny without a lift. I don't think I'm going to do it again. Hopefully I won't break anymore, yeah right.) At least not until I get a lift. Some day I'll figure out how to get the tranny on the jack under the car without taking all day.
I did find a D5 to put in the S/S tranny that I installed, so maybe I'll drive that out there. Get working on the Pumpkin. You want that ready before race season starts, because you know that you are going to be buried right before it starts with everyone putting the finishing touches on their cars, and spending those tax return dollars. You won't have time for your own stuff then.

Actually, I have one of these:
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...ansmisson+jack The problem is I can't jack the car up high enough to roll it under the car with the tranny on it. So, I have to slide the tranny under, roll the jack under and then wrestle with the tranny to get it up on the jack. Once I get it on the jack, I am all set, but it takes forever to do it. And, it has been a while since I actually did a tranny, so I forgot how I did it. After an hour or so wrestling with it, I remembered how I did it. But by then I was pretty PO'd, and lost my momentum. I'll be buttoning that up today if I have time. With all of this snow coming, I want to do a little work on the truck and plow. I think that is a little more important today. I have a better idea for the tranny jack, I just havent got the time to put this together. But when I do I am getting one of these: http://eagleequip.com/page/EE/PROD/LI-SS/MS9000 .....or something like it. I have to modify my garage door track first. I'll give you whistle tomorrow.
