Roller lifter pre-load.
Jack, how much pre load is suppose to be on the comp cams roller lifters that come with your kit?
These things are noisy. |

Rick,
we usually put about a 1\4 turn after zero lash. I don't have too much trouble noise wise usually, you may have a little noise, but it shouldn't be anything crazy.. It's no different than tappett cams and lifters over the years, some were quiet, some sounded like a sewing machine... You may want to check your pushrod clearance with the heads or the rocker geometry... let us know

Jack,
seems like some of the plungers in the lifters are stuck. Most adjust real nice but I have a few it's real hard to even feel where 0 is. When I try and load it, seems it's opening the valve. What do you think? TIA Rick |

Jack,
I adjusted them per your recomendation regardless of how they felt. Waiting for injectors to get back from cleaning. Well see how it goes. Rick |
