Default 2010 TurboBuick.com Nationals

OK guys and gals, we have poking around the idea of having an event here in NC in March 2010. Many of you have already seen a small portion of what we have in store for you. We appreciate all of the feedback given by everyone and as stated there is LOTS more to this thing than meets the eye. Here we go….

We would like to welcome you to the 2010 TURBOBUICK.COM NATIONALS. The date for the event is March 15th – 20th. You read that right, 6 DAYS!!! There has been lots of time and effort put forth to make this an event unlike any other Buick event ever conceived in the Buick community. The event will work in 2 phases:

PHASE 1:

Monday 15th :
Turbobuick.com would like to give a very big thank you to Richard Clark as he has graciously allowed us to use his garage/dyno facility in Burlington, NC . The event will start at Noon and run until 7pm. There will be free dyno for anyone wanting to attend. This date is mainly an informal meet and greet as well as fellowship with friends (new and old), share thoughts and ideas. There will be several vendors on hand to supply you with your much needed Buick parts.

Tuesday 16th :
The shop will be open at 9am. Please bring LOTS of parts that you may want to have tested. Powermasters, Alternators, Cylinder Heads, Factory MAF sensors, Torque converters that you wish to have flushed, injectors that you would like to have cleaned and flowed, etc…
At 12 noon you will enjoy a FREE LUNCH. We will have a tech session with special invited guests in the large dyno building with a Q&A session that will rotate around the room every 15-20 minutes so you can spend time and get to know each guest speaker to pick their brain for some Buick knowledge. We will end up back at the shop and wrap up around 7pm.

Wednesday 17th:
The shop will be open at 9am. Anyone wanting any final dyno time for tuning you car feel free to do so at NO CHARGE. At 11:30 anyone wanting to caravan from the Burlington location to the racetrack will meet in the Wal-Mart parking lot on Huffman Mill road where the hotels/restaurants are located. At 12 noon you will receive a POLICE ESCORT on behalf of the Alamance and Guilford County Sheriffs Department to the gates of the racetrack to begin Phase 2 of the event.
PHASE 2:

Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th will be Test-N-Tune from 1pm until 7pm for the first ever “Turbobuick.com Nationals” courtesy of Turbobuick.com. Gate admission is $10 to spectate and $10 if you want to make time runs. You will be able to run on the all concrete 1/8th mile dragstrip at Piedmont Dragway. There will be Vendors on hand to purchase merchandise from as well as a FULL swap meet!

Friday 19th :
We will have qualifying for all categories yet to be determined. We will be running heads-up / pro-tree index racing for anyone wanting to run 8.49, 7.49, and 6.99 categories. This is open to ALL Buick powered, Buick Bodied, and SY/TY entries. We will also have a Quick 16 bracket race as well as an Open Field Quick 8 for any Buick bodied, Buick powered entry on a heads-up, pro-tree format. We will also run the eagerly anticipated “TAG TEAM” race. This race is a regular tree, dial-in race in which you will have 2 people in 1 car. The rules are to leave the starting line, stop at the 60 foot mark and you MUST GET OUT and change drivers!! Simple enough?? SO you will need someone that is good on the tree AND someone that can drive the finishline. Winners to receive a cash prize!! Also we will be giving away a FREE set of Mickey Thompson ET drag radials valued at over $400 with a raffle drawing of only $10 per ticket!! Gate admission is $15 to spectate and $10 to make time runs.

Saturday 20th :
We will have TNT for anyone wanting to make time runs as well as elimination rounds for all Heads-Up racing categories. We will run a final round of “TAG TEAM” racing as well as Bracket Racing and the Quick 8. We will have 50/50 drawings for cash money. There will be cash given away throughout the days for different incentives or “BOUNTIES” on certain race class drivers. We will also be giving away a complete FAST XFI computer system valued at over $1800 with a raffle drawing of only $10 per ticket!! Gate admission is $15 to spectate and $10 to make time runs. We will also have a Car Show for anyone wanting to compete with several different classes to choose from.

Bottom line is this event was built specifically for YOU the racers and anyone who loves the Buick brand name. There is plenty more to come over the next 8 months. We just want everyone plan ahead for next years and to come and have a fantastic time!! On behalf of Turbobuick.com we thank you for your interest and we will see everyone in March!!

There is 1 very special guest that has agreed to come and visit us in NC and all you racers and Buick followers are gonna LOVE this one!! I would like to personally thank BUDDY INGERSOLL from Zeigler, IL for making the trip to meet us Buick Folks. As most of you know Buddy set the stage for Buick Competition with his Pro Stock regal so many years ago and has agreed to make a visit here in NC for the Turbobuick.com Nationals...

Please e-mail me with questions and I will do what I can for you!!
