Question Headbolts and Heat Cycle

After in stalling new HGs w ARP headbolts do you have to retorque after the first hear cyle? Some ppl say yes some say no... What gives..Tia in advane boys... Psycho 6......

If you don't use TTY bolts, you should (be crazy not to) retorque after heat cycling.

i am using stock head gaskets from GM w ARP 12 pont head 190,000 psi.... SO do I retorque? ty again... Psycho 6.....

The stock head gaskets do not require retorque. But Like Brian said it doesn't hurt to. I would just do the initial torque, wait overnite or next day, and retorque one bolt at a time. Back em off 1\2 turn each, then retorque to 85lbs. but do each bolt in order one at a time..
