Some FAST questions
I am newbie to the FAST stuff so not sure where to start.
I installed a FAST B2B that i bought used. It had a program in it for a buick 3.8 turbo -which is what i am running. I had to change the injectors to 55lb from 70 lb that where in the base setup in the ECU. The car will fire over and run for like 2 seconds then die. I can try to step on the gas pedal but it does not matter. It will die once it fires over and run for a sec. I have included what i think is a log file that may be usefull. Here is some info on my car: 55 lbs Siemens Injectors PT-51 Precision Turbo wide band O2 Stock heads 5” single exhaust 3200 stall – turbo 400 tranny with manual valve body 3:73 gear with 28” tall tires No a/c No power steering No power brakes Running pump gas for now – sometimes use unleaded race fuel Car weighs 3200 lbs with me in it No VSS hooked up for now The software is version 1.02 windows version of the software. ------------------------------------------------ The other question is where are the numbers and letters for the PIN out on the ECU? Do i need to pull the main harness off of the ECU and the numbers and letters will be there for each row? I want to make sure everything is hooked up right and i have a diagram but i have looked all over short of un-pluggin the harness and i can not see any letters or numbers to match up with my printout. ----------------------------------------------- Thank You, Ross |

Ross,
From your notepad it looks like it is just dead lean. Going from 75 to 55lbs injectors will requore higher numbers in your VE table. Probably a 20% overall increase should be a good start... You see the cranking fuel around 12 AFR, then the RPM's come up to 1100 when it starts and the AFR goes dead lean at 15... something.....

Will try it
I noticed how in the software to change the entire VE table by 20% pretty easy. I will change this and test it this morning and let you know.

ok tried some things
I bumped the VE up 20% then another 10% and it seems to start and run a little longer but if i even try to hit the gas it dies. It is like once it gets out of the start process whatever is read next is causing it to die.
Here are two log files i made between increasing the VE table across the board from 20% to 30% from my base config. Thanks! |
