Jack,
I don't suppose that is a good thing? Conrad

Not unless you want to make a milkshake, or at least something that looks like one. Sounds like a blown headgasket, and that is coming from the former King of blown headgaskets.

Or maybe an intake leak or internal radiator leak? Car running poorly? Smell antifreeze in the exhaust? Plugs discolored?

Plugs look good. I looked at the "oil" again and see three distinct layers....gasoline, antifreeze and oil. Will cut oil filter apart today to look for metal and will check compression tonight.

Just ran compression checks. Results in psi:
front of engine 120 106 113 112 110 120 This doesn't look soo bad...unless the front cylinder on the passenger side is a problem. Thoughts? Conrad

I re-checked the low cylinder...it is 116 instead of 106.

Ok...talked with Jack...apparently the HG didn't fail between cylinder fire rings but somewhere else. Makes sense I guess. I just assumed...
Jack, I noticed that you were sending me, among other things, an oil pan gasket....to clean out the pan and pump inlet screen? Conrad

Those numbers are within spec.... 10%... and yes, oil pan is to clean out the pan after the top end and lifter valley is cleaned....

Jack,
Since I have to separate engine from motor mounts to to remove valve cover from passenger side, should I upgrade from ARP head bolts to ARP studs? Should I replace rod and/or main bearings while I have the oil pan off? If so, send me a package on Monday. Conrad
