new to the turbo world
Hello to all. I am happy to be a part of the dark side. I have a 87 GN TT car and i did not think these cars ran the way they do. I have been a buick owner since i was 16 Starting with a 67 GS 340 platinum mist blk v-top red stripes,67 gold GS 400, 70 STAGE 1 that i sold in September and im still kick myself in the ass for selling. I get a lot of looks and thumbs up and took 4 trophies in 4 shows and one of them was a peoples choice so i'm very happy with the car. It is all stock with 19,000 miles on it and am looking to do a few up-grades so i can run in the low 13's and i'm told by my good friend Mark Deconti MR.Cotton is the guy. Looking forward to taking part on this web. Thanks

low 13's
What it takes and the cost to run low 13's,is what i'm looking for and still look stock appearing. I don't live far away i'm in Hudson. "chevy land" and would like to shut some mouths at the valley. Thanks

Welcome Tony.
Jack and Brian will get you where you want to go. Unfortunatley your goal is too easily attainable. Let me just warn you now. Be prepared for mid to low 12s. Stock appearing !

stock appearing
mid to low 12's. That's fine with me as long as i don't break the rear end because of the c-clips. Also was told that and the trans. are a weak link. How true is this.

I didn't break the rear until I was doing some real hard wheels up launches on a really well prepped track and was running low 11s. They can take you into the 10s safely. The tranny can also be built to take you into the 10s. Without doing anything, you can get it into the 11s as long as it is ok now. You will probably need to toughen it up after that.
