turbo placement?
I don't know if this has been discussed before. Why not reposition the turbo more towards the center? I think if the driver's side manifold was feeding forward, and the pipes from each side met directly under the turbo, it would create better/faster spool-up. I'm just thinking out-loud. I don't currently own a GN/t-type, but I did put a down-payment on one. Just curious. Thanks, Chris.

Not sure how that would work, but my feeling is that the added pipe would add to the lag.

Brian Keep it shiny side up, but show them your dirty side once in a while. 11.3@123mph on 195/75/14" whitewalls. Yes, 195s! 11.2 on the big giant slicks. What's the point? Maybe I'll go back to the whitewalls. They are lighter and have less rolling resistance. |

I don't mean an additional pipe on driver's side. I mean, instead of the rear cross-over pipe, just the one going forward, one from each manifold, meeting under the turbine housing.

Repositioning is something we have done before, but not on a stock type set-up. Many of the race classes for the BUicks do not allow for the turbo to be anywhere but the stock location. In an all race application, anything goes... If it will help... I'd stick it out the hood...
