I'd get the air cleaner out of the engine compartment. Find out what the converter is and what stall.

Find out if you are running rich down low. Too rich would make it real doggy.
How does it spool? Quick, or is it slow to spool too?

11.2 on the big giant slicks. What's the point? Maybe I'll go back to the whitewalls. They are lighter and have less rolling resistance.
