I really need help deciding which turbo to install. I've gone through as much info as possible, rehashing as much info as my small brain can manage & I've about given up. I asked a question, what would I see more 1/4 time improvement doing, a new intercooler or a bigger turbo? Seeing I have an Alchy kit installed, I was advised by a good source that a turbo would be the answer. This car see's mostly street miles, going to the track 9 or 10 times during the summer. This is purely a summer driver, as it's only driven in nice weather. I am running a TE49 now, running 11.8 & 112 mph on avg. Usually a 1.6-1.65 60ft. 1/8 is 7.5 @ 89 mph. I have installed a small cooling fan in front of my stock intercooler, to help prevent heat soak when waiting in staging area, between runs. I really don't want to go with a BB turbo mostly because of the price. I was hoping to keep it around $800-$900 range. I am installing 60lb injectors & a T tweek chip. So,,, what turbo is going to get me low 11's,,, high 10's? Is this realistic? Or am I better off going with a bigger intercooler even though I am spraying alchy on my stock IC? See my sig for mods, they are all the standard stuff. Only thing internal was a cam(202-202 duration) & H.P. valve springs.
