There's got to be someone who could help you out there. Setting cam sensors can be a pain. Im curious how did you determine the cam sensor went bad ? To be honest it doesnt sound right in a 36,000...

Did you drive the car with the cam sensor unplugged ? It sounds like you garage tested...

Good rule of thumb : The wires on the cam sensor cap should be facing toward the drivers side fender. If its facing the other way its 180 out
