The motor looks great! I don't think it's big enough tho.;)(565 ci:eek:) Nicole has the engine hoist swing in the back of her van. I put it in there because I didn't know if you guys needed it this weekend.

Eddie Gotthainer - The only thing better than cubic inches is...more cubic inches!!! OR A BIGGER TURBO!!!!

Ed, great looking motor.... wouldn't mind having something like that in my old 65 vette....

Mike,

It's 565ci now, it can go bigger later!:D Not sure when it's going in, just found out the converter is blown up. Sucks because that's another grand out of our pocket, but inspiring because our old junk 427 managed to go 9.80s with a blown up converter. That means a custom built billet converter for our application should fly with this engine! I'll grab the hoist at some point this weekend. Thanks!!

Jack,

You got that right! While compression is a bit high for a turbo on this engine (15:1 static), it may get a little nitrous!:D

Final dyno numbers are 980hp at 7000rpm and 810ft/lbs at 5000rpm. Time for longer wheelie bars!!!:D

The Bullet

That would look nice in my Impala! :D And Maybe with some fuel injection. Good Luck with the new toy this coming season!

turbonatr 11-07-2008 09:19 PM

Thanks!:D

R-M actually offers a really nice pump gas 540ci BBC. Advertised at 680hp, it actually makes a little over 700hp all on pump gas! That would make a fine little mill for your Impala!
