Stage I & II motors

Can someone tell me what a stage I or II motor upgrade is? I'm having some work done on my GN and would like to know more about this option.

thanks,

Brian

Hi Brian, good seeing you and the wife sat, how was Cracker Barrel... we ate there this morning for breakfast with our grand daughter.. it was yummy.

So I think we answered this question sat, but I'll answer it here too. The stage1 and 2 motors are the Buick Motorsports block. In other words, you could buy a beefed up block from the Buick dealer that would handle more horsepower. It was built stronger, better main caps, more bolts securing the caps preventing the cranking from moving around. 6 bolts per cylinder holding the heads down vs 4 bolts per cyl. on a stock block. These motors were used primarily in the Nascar division Busch North and othert lower circle track divisions. They typically made around 500hp naturally aspirated with a carburater.
