M/T slicks

What compound are you using? Thanks

the 3055 28 x 10.5 that we use uses M5 compound, available with different sidewalls 3055 (std), 3055S (stiff ), and 3055W (wrinkle)
the 3055W due to the softer sidewall has a wider sidewall width 12.0" vs the 11.7" of the 3055/3055S

the 3055C uses L4 compound ( softest compound they make) and is meant for dragsters and lightwieght cars

im running the 3055 (stock frame and rolled fender lips, no air bags) which are a tight fit and only rub the frame when i make tight turns with a spool , probably more tire than i need . I'm considering going with 28x9" on the next set which come with the L8 compound ,

Thanks Paul. I ended up going with the 3055's and mounted them on a 8" wheel. I mounted them yesterday, and will install them on the GN today to test the fit. I also have some 3055's on 10" rims and I also rolled my fenders. They are tight (but look like they will clear). Last time at the track with the 10" rims w/o rolled fenders, I had to run 15psi in the air bags to keep them from kissing the fenders. I measured the section width of the 28-10.5 on the 8" wheel, and the section width is 1" less than on the 10" wheel with tread width remaining the same. I think this set up will be perfect, and I can leave the suspension where it should be.
