Fuel pump/injector fuse
Hello, Hope you can help me. I just fixed cooling problem with dual fans and the relay harness is plug and play that i just bought from Cottons. Now i drive the car for a few miles and the fuel pump/injector fuse blows. I noticed that the fan ground wire at the factory plug is getting hot. Any ideas of what the problem may be. Thanks to any info that can help me.

Sounds like two different issues. As for the fuse, check the injector harness. Make sure it isn't worn through anywhere. Do you have a hot wire for the pump? If you do, is it plug in, or is it home made. If it is a plug in, then the pump probably isn't the problem.
Check the ground wire, to see if it is worn thin. Maybe replace it with a heavier one. Just for starters |
It has a plug in hot wire kit for the fuel pump.

right on Brian... check the inj harness, hot wire kit, also anywhere you may have worked prior to the problem. As for the fan wire, check your grounds and make sure the connectors are clean... hopefully the fan you purchased isn't drawing too much power.

one problem solved
Don't know what i touched but i moved and wrapped some wires and the car don't blow the fuel pump/injector fuse anymore. The cooling fan ground wire still gets hot at the factory plug. I am going to try changing the factory plug to see if it is a bad connection at the metal prong.
PS. Thanks Brian and Jack |
