Went bowling...

Jack and I went bowling for our "date night" last night (first time bowling in 25 years)! I realized today that drag racing and bowling have many things in common. First...the competition. People wear speciality shirts, and talk smack! Bowlers need special shoes....Jack wears special shoes when he races. When bowling you need to get the ball down the center of the lane and racing is best when you can keep it in the middle of the lane. There is a foul line when bowling (don't slide over it) and of course there is the dreaded red light in racing. There are spares in bowling and slicks in racing. The goal in bowling is to get the highest # of pins and of course in racing the highest MPH. I'm hoping Jack gets the connection between bowling and drag racing and this winter I can convince him to practice for the race season by going bowling. Ya think?????

Well,.................. it's pretty good exercise!!! Is he complaining he is sore today?? :p

I'm not sure John (if he is sore), as he is in Noble, OK. I know he is spending his time at a race track and not planning any bowling! :)

Here's something I wish bowling and drag racing had in common. When you break your motor, wouldn't it be nice if a machine came out and set it back up for you so you could make another pass!

He-he-he....it is nice to dream isn't it?
