It's already run...... 10.0 something at 135 or 137mph.... I think it's got a 9 in it... not bad for a bone stock block with bolt on's....

Mike_g 02-12-2008 01:42 PM

Nice lookin car... I remember when It first got to the shop. It got SERIOUS in a hurry. Gotta love how the Cotton crew keep everything lookin clean !

I like it the way it is. Very sweet! Nice touch with the beer holder.

gumbo 03-07-2008 01:21 PM

Thanks ~ I initially wanted it powdercoated but the raw has grown on me.

Too much time on your hands...... you comin up here to cook today... got burgers and dogs..... :D

BrianHynes 03-07-2008 01:34 PM

Do you use any kind of edge protection on the seat where the belt passes through? These seat are sharp on the edges of the belt cut outs, and I think that will end up fraying the belt.

BrianHynes 03-07-2008 01:35 PM

Very nice ride Gumbo. It's clean, and that's what I like.

gumbo 03-07-2008 02:11 PM

don't need edge protection - when you sit in the seat and wear belt there's no chafe. Jack you know I'm on limited diet - talk to me about burgers next month...

gumbo 10-26-2008 01:52 AM

Anybody want a $22k pot of gumbo?

May need to say goodbye
Would only sell to Cottons faithfull

Figure $10k - $12k for 60k original 100% rust free 87 T type
Receipts for four times that and then some...

Open to offers from cottons folk before broadening the sale

b.kaehrle@comcast.net

Shifty 10-26-2008 03:02 AM

:oWOW!!! Nice car... Good luck with the sale, I'm sure it won't last long at that price...

gumbo 10-26-2008 05:48 PM

3 beers and my car is for sale.

WTF

Hey thanks! That was yesterdays price - I had had a long day, almost lost my job, thought about quitting and simplifying my life! Get a job doing something else, maybe buy a chain of tanning salons ;) basically try to live within my means and all that stuff my parents told me and I'll tell my kids but failed to do so myself.... heck it's never too late to start.

Bottom line is I would let it go to the right person for the right price. I need to talk with Jack to find out what the right price is. The car was transformed to what you see (and more since the pics) over 3/4 year during Fall 06 - Spring 07 at 3 very talented shops, cottons performed 90% of the work. No expense spared, shop bills and receipts for $45k, and more from Summit. It was trailered to track 4 times and street driven ten to fifteen times. There may be 200 miles on car since transformation. I do have all the original parts...

Registration is not current - you cannot come drive it. I need a temp plate first. serious offers only.

Brand new 10# safecraft 3 head push activate fire system avail for extra $$ unless it sells beforehand of course.

I'll move this to classifieds once I get updated pics and such
