2008 Mid Winter Party

We would like to thank everyone who made the journey from near and far, fighting the lingering effects of yet another snow/ice storm.
Thank you all for the yummy food items; if we forgot you, it's not because we didn't enjoy it...it probably went so fast we missed it!
The MAGNA crew for the awesome ribs, making the l-o-n-g trip, and help manning the grill.
Otto's wife (happy birthday) for a much photographed "Pumpkin" cake, that tasted delicious...it was so perfect, it was a difficult decision to cut and serve it. Otto's fresh clams....yum....gourmet appetizer.
Mikey's wife (Barbara) for the "to die for" red cake.
Mark Fitzgerald and daughter Claudia for the Turbo 6 brownies.
Brian Hynes (long arm of the law) for the "hot" soup.
Bob's marvelous macaroni salad.
Bob Vaultrain's chicken wings.
Brian Lee (waGoN) for the spicy chicken and rice and the two cases of NEBRA soda.
Mark Emery's Red Rose pizza.
Cisco's Dominican (to honor our honeymoon food) pork.
And....Jerry Lowell and Brian Lee for announcing and organizing a special Buick event, planned for this summer at New England Dragway.

Thank you for making it a fun and friendly success....we couldn't do it without your support.

Jack, Brian, Gerry, Josh, & Lorrie

Dang that pizza went fast! By the time I got to the table, all that was left was a box w/ some cheese stuck to it.

Thanks for bringing the clams Otto. It was nice talking with you, and learning a bit about the trade. One bad thing though------As if my son does'nt eat enough already, you got him really liking clams ( $$$$$$ ).

I want to thank Jack for not kicking my GN out into the cold.

It was nice to finaly talk with Mike Nogrady face to face. Pinks is coming! Bring your car to Jack, and turn up the heat!

Gerry, I'll finally have a face to go with your voice next time I call.

Thanks to everyone for the eats, and stories. 'Till next year, Brian

Besides the quickly diappearing pizza I almost forgot to mention the BEST coffe cake ever (New Jersey made) brought by Dominic....thank you!
We had more for our breakfast this morning. :)

BrianHynes 02-24-2008 10:15 PM

It was DEELISH! I should have grabbed another piece for the road.

PhillyTurboSix 02-24-2008 10:24 PM

There was pizza there?! lol You'll have to order another dozen of them for next year! Never had Pizza that far north :) We had a awesome time! The ride up was long but I let one of the young guys drive on the way back and we were home in no time! :D Was great to see some of you guys I never get to see! Good times! My wife and I had an awesome time. The food was fantastic, especially the red velvet cake!

It was a great pleasure to finally meet Brian Hynes and his son Gabe. I really hope you guys can make it down July 26th to E-town! It was also awesome to get to see your car up close, it is quite an example of going fast with class! My exhaust housing couldn't have gone to a nicer guy!:D

My car is going up soon, just have to get the green light from Jack.

Cool pics... All but the one of me getting the hat. Jacks Bro inlaw Johnny won

JCotton1 02-25-2008 01:35 PM

Awsome pictures JH,Artie, thanks again for coming and being a part of our day. Again, thanks to all,I enjoyed the day, unfortunately, as always, felt like I was unable to touch base with everyone there and spend a little time with each of you. But, thats the way it always goes... Food was excellent, I ate too much, only got a taste of the Ribs, they were excellent, but by then, I was pretty stuffed.. Bob's wings, Dom's coffee cakes, Brian's chicken and rice... pizza, kielbasa, veggie plater.... I was stuffed.. then I had to eat the cakes.... Mikey's was crazy, red and delicious, Otto's wife... we were still eating it yesterday, Lorrie wanted to know if she was a proffessional baker.. oh well, it was good, and you know what... I'm gonna do something in the spring, only this time, I'm going to make it a"technical" BBQ, gonna put on a tech session and I think it will involve FAST XFI. Something to highlite the benefits, installation, operation and use of... how does that sound? A training seminar for the day.....

That sounds pretty cool. How about you train me in B2B first before you force me into buying a XFI haha. Thanks for everything. Deffinitely do something in the spring. Thats when BBQ's are supposed to be lol.

impaloligist 02-27-2008 02:46 AM

Thanks for such a nice party. There were a lot of really nice people there. I am glad that you liked that coffee cake, as I will have to bring more next time I come up there. I am still having some here at home, Tuesday night. Hope to see you all soon!

That is a great idea. I definelty could use a class on that. I know that the GEN 6 dfi was a little shakey to figure out on your own, even with the manual.

impaloligist 02-27-2008 01:28 PM

I am thinking that we're gonna need some crumb (coffee) cake too at the BBQ, if it is a go.

GullsGN 03-15-2008 06:17 PM

DAMN, I can't believe I missed it for the first time ever. No wonder this winter seemed to suck more than normal. I need a tissue:(:(:(:(:(:(

Good time as usual

TurboBabe 03-16-2008 11:49 AM

We did miss you Steve....thought you were maybe on an exotic vacation!
Jack is thinking of having another get-to-gether this Spring or early Summer.
Hope to see you before the Fall NEBRA picinic.
