Duane. I have mailed out a check today but need just a little more help if you don't mind. I am looking for a new boot for the convertible. I would like to find a "good quality" boot . The GS in question is a Detroit 455 matching # car that has just a few eyesores I want to get rid of for my husband. My husband is an awesome man that has only 1 vice, that is he HAS to attend the Nationals yearly(now he is trending toward the Ohio show) Anyway, you saw the car in passing... It has a saddle brown interior, black top and the yellow/black X look. When we bought the car in '93 it had the back quarters blown out, no rust but looked as if it was ready for the salvage yard from mis-use. Now to the gist of this e-mail. They had put on a brown vinyl boot that had SNAPS on it and had added SNAPS to the chrome strip that goes over the back. This is my pet peeve, when I see it, it makes me go "twitch" I know it will make him happy if I can find the right combo, but I guess this is one that I have to say I am replacing for my benefit. I will never understand why someone would do this. It is a car, not a boat....... I would also like your opinion on a color scheme. I am thinking if I can find a black boot to match striping????? or would you keep with original saddle brown. I'm sure you have seen every color combo possible and would be able to better visualize the finished product. Thanks for all your time and help.
It seem that you have a real presence out there, I spoke with my brother-in-law Lloyd Luther and he spoke highly of you and your opinions.

    Hello Duane!
I had the best time of all of my 3 events with the BPG! I would say everything was a great success for all of the BPG! I let my membership expire but proudly submitted this morning when we checked in! I am proud to have such a great bunch of guys that work so hard to make this event very very special. I am glad I made myself go and had a great time! THANK YOU!
I am so fired up about my car after going to this event. Thanks again Duane!

    Duane,
Brian Herrick here. My 71 GSX got gold at the GS Nationals. My GSCA #1426 is the car. You have talked with my rebuilder Dale Stakelbeck of D&D Restorations. I am planning to sell my car at the Mecum auction at Monteray August 15. Any suggestions????
    Thanks,
    Brian Herrick

HEY DUANE-HAPPY NEW YEAR (Corey here, one of Garland's cronies!)-hope all is well, he called me last night - they bought the X-sound like a real heap, but it is the real deal, and the original build will probably make that car worth a fortune-peace, Corey

by the way, if you come in contact anyone itching for a bb Regal, mine is for sale on here and the v8 board-gotta pay for the Riv-pics of that on here too.

Hi Duane, I just received your name from a fellow BPG member. I had a question about paint and he said to contact you. I have a 66 skylark convertible. I believe the original in terior was called metallic parchment. I have ordered door panels/interior from Legendary in that color. Would you happen to know the color code for the interior paint that matches metallic parchment. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 401-270-9149 AL
